Day 2: Epcot (January 3, 2017)

Our first full day in Disney World was spent at Epcot. Out of the four theme parks, Epcot is my second favorite park. It’s a place that makes learning fun. There’s always something new and exciting going on. Although there wasn’t an event going on while we were there, my family was able to test out a ride we’ve never been on, Test Track.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Epcot, I highly recommend Test Track as a must see attraction. It starts out by taking you into a room where you design your own car. Everything from the size to color to speed is customizable. No two cars are alike. Once you finish your car, you get to test out your car. The seats in the cart are like an actual car. It takes you through various obstacles as it tests out various functions of the car before racing on a test track at the end. It easily became our favorite ride at Epcot.

We spent a vast majority of our day in Future World exploring Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth, Soarin’, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. The Seas with Nemo & Friends is in second place on my top 5 favorite rides at Epcot. I am a huge Nemo fan, so sitting on an air condition ride as I rode through my favorite movie is a fun time for me. Plus, once you exit, you are met with an aquarium. Who doesn’t love aquariums?

To top off the whole Nemo experience, we had an early dinner at Coral Reef. Every time I visit Disney World, I always make sure to pay a visit to the restaurant. There’s nothing like enjoying dinner next to a giant wall tank. The entire atmosphere makes you feel like you’re eating dinner underwater and the food is phenomenal.

To finish our night at Epcot, we started exploring a few of the countries. We grabbed some churros from Mexico and ate some Mickey ice cream sandwiches. Then, we explored the gift shops of Norway and China before it was time for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the firework show at Epcot.

We didn’t get to visit all of the countries, but we put that on our to do list for the next day because we were heading back to Epcot.
